As a consultant to various companies, I am introduced to [many] types of software and SaaS, however since being introduced to Ramp I have been thoroughly impressed with how it not only operates for us accounting consultants, but also for any company itself. I love the ability it has to reimburse the employee immediately as well as create separate cards for monthly services or for just one vendor and create spending policies too! It is an amazing tool that integrates well with most accounting systems and set-up has been quick and easy each time I do it. I love Ramp and the rebate system is fantastic!!!!
I love that I can schedule payments right there in the platform and assess my cash needs for the next few weeks. The dashboard makes it very easy for managers to approve bills, and for employees to use the virtual/physical cards.
Everything is on auto-pilot. You just buy something with your card and then respond to the text requesting a picture of the receipt and a description--you don't have to save your receipts, scan them later, get way behind on reimbursements and dread doing them or any of that. And then it prompts the accounting person to code it for QuickBooks and then syncs and it just magically shows up in QuickBooks. This also makes the end-of-month credit card reconciliation a non-event because everything is already there.
Ramp does a great job at the most basic/core function of providing a great platform for corporate cards. Its easy for our employees to use and provides a great number of features that encourages employees to track expenses better. Meanwhile, the platform allows the finance team to track, monitor, and support much better than our old, traditional corporate card system. The customer service is top notch and the many features that go beyond even just corporate cards have streamlined much about our finance department. It was easy to implement, has many integrations to our other systems (QuickBooks, Teams, etc) that increase the frequency with which people interact with the platform (beyond just swiping their cards). We also have been embracing the features that allow us to use project/budget-specific cards and even vendor-specific cards to allow us to better track spending to budget and protect against fraud & misues.
The mobile app and the receipt text messages are two of the things that I like about Ramp. From an implementer's perspective, the whole implementation process seemed too good to be true but it wasn't. I have implemented and expense software in a previous job and I cannot even compare the two experiences. Ramp has outdone themselves.
